Installation
Desktop App
- Download AICHE from aiche.app
- Install the app for your platform:
- Mac: Open the .dmg and drag AICHE to Applications
- Windows: Run the installer and follow the wizard
- Linux: Use the AppImage or .deb package
- Launch AICHE from your Applications folder or Start menu
Initial Setup
1. Sign In
AICHE uses secure device code authentication:
- Click "Sign In" in the app
- A browser window opens with a device code
- Sign in with your account
- The app automatically activates
2. Grant Permissions
Microphone Permission
When prompted, allow microphone access:
- Mac: Click "Allow" in the system dialog
- Windows: Select "Yes" for microphone access
- Linux: Grant permission when prompted
Accessibility Permission (for Smart Insert)
For automatic text insertion:
- Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility → Enable AICHE
- Windows: May need to run as administrator
- Linux: Depends on your desktop environment
3. Test Your Setup
- Open any text editor or document
- Position your cursor where you want text
- Press the global hotkey:
- Mac: ⌃+⌥+R (Control+Option+R)
- Windows/Linux: Ctrl+Alt+R
- Speak clearly when the red recording ring appears
- Press the hotkey again to stop
- Watch your text appear after processing

Offline Mode
No internet? No problem:
- Recordings save to the "Later" queue
- Process them when reconnected
- All recordings are encrypted locally

How private is my data?
- Audio is deleted immediately after processing
