The short answer: open ClickUp, create or click into a task, press ⌃+⌥+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Alt+R (Windows/Linux), speak your complete specification for 60-120 seconds, and AICHE inserts comprehensive task documentation.

ClickUp's flexible structure encourages detailed task descriptions with subtasks, custom fields, and acceptance criteria, but typing comprehensive specs takes 12+ minutes per task. Voice captures requirements faster than keyboard mechanics.

  1. Open ClickUp in your browser or desktop app.
  2. Create a new task or open an existing one.
  3. Click into the description field.
  4. Press your AICHE hotkey to start recording.
  5. Speak your complete requirement (example: "Create task for implementing user notification system. Description: build real-time notification system for user actions including new messages, mentions, and project updates. Subtasks: design database schema for notifications table with user id, type, content, read status, and timestamp fields. Create NotificationService class with methods to send, mark as read, and fetch unread count. Build WebSocket endpoint for real-time delivery to connected clients.   6. Press the hotkey again-AICHE transcribes and inserts the text.
  7. Add subtasks, assignees, and custom fields using ClickUp's interface.

Heads-up: ClickUp's AI can generate subtasks from your description. Dictate the high-level feature first, let ClickUp suggest subtasks, then refine with additional voice dictation for details.

The pro-tip: include dependencies and blockers in your dictation. Saying "blocked by API authentication task" or "depends on database migration completing" captures project constraints that prevent scheduling conflicts.

Result: task descriptions with subtasks, acceptance criteria, and custom field specifications that took 15 minutes to type now take 3 minutes to dictate, and ClickUp's flexible structure becomes manageable because speaking comprehensive requirements is effortless.
