AICHE +Notion Integration
Voice input for knowledge management
Speak your notes directly into Notion pages.
The short answer: open any Notion page, click where you want text, press ⌃+⌥+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Alt+R (Windows/Linux), speak for 30-60 seconds, and AICHE transcribes and inserts the formatted text at your cursor.
Notion's power is in its structure. Databases, relations, rollups, templates, filtered views. You can build anything from a CRM to a project tracker to a personal wiki. But all that structure still needs content inside it. Database rows need descriptions. Wiki pages need explanations. Project specs need requirements. That writing work is manual, and it's where most Notion users slow down. The system is designed, the templates are set, but the pages sit half-empty because filling them requires sustained typing. AICHE handles the text input so Notion can handle the organization.
- Open Notion in your browser or desktop app.
- Navigate to the page, database entry, or document you want to fill.
- Click into any text block, or click into a database property field like "Summary" or "Notes."
- Press your AICHE hotkey (⌃+⌥+R on Mac, Ctrl+Alt+R on Windows/Linux) to start recording.
- Speak your content naturally. Include details, context, and specifics.
- Press the hotkey again. AICHE transcribes, applies formatting if enabled, and inserts the text.
- Continue building the page, or press the hotkey again for additional blocks.
Filling Database Properties and Entries
Notion databases are only as useful as the data inside them. A project tracker with empty description fields, a CRM with blank meeting notes, or a content calendar with no draft summaries - these all reduce the system's value. The bottleneck is rarely the database design. It's the time it takes to fill each entry with meaningful text.
AICHE speeds up this specific task. Click into a database property field, press the hotkey, and dictate the content. For a project tracker, speak the project summary, scope, current status, and blockers. For a CRM entry, speak the meeting notes, client requirements, and next steps. Each entry that would take 5-8 minutes to type takes 60-90 seconds to dictate.
This matters most for databases with many entries. A content calendar with 20 posts, a bug tracker with 30 issues, or a client database with 50 contacts. The cumulative time savings from dictating rather than typing across dozens of entries adds up to hours per week.
Project Specification Drafting
Writing project specs in Notion is common for product teams, agencies, and freelancers. A typical spec includes goals, requirements, constraints, timeline, and success criteria. These documents run 1,000-3,000 words and take significant time to type from scratch.
AICHE lets you draft each section by voice. Open the spec template, click into the Goals section, and dictate: describe what the project should accomplish, who it's for, and how you'll measure success. Move to Requirements and speak each feature requirement. Move to Constraints and explain budget, timeline, or technical limitations.
Enable Content Organization in AICHE settings for spec writing. When you speak a stream of requirements without pausing, AICHE structures them into organized paragraphs with logical groupings. This produces a readable first draft that needs editing for precision, not a raw transcription that needs complete rewriting.
Wiki Pages and Internal Documentation
Teams that use Notion as their internal wiki face a recurring problem: pages get created with a title and maybe a sentence, then never get filled out. The cost of writing thorough documentation in a wiki is high enough that most pages stay sparse. Voice dictation lowers that cost.
When you know something that should be documented, open the wiki page and speak it. Explain the process, the reasoning behind a decision, or the steps to complete a task. AICHE captures the explanation at speaking speed. The result is a detailed wiki page that exists rather than a perfect wiki page that was never written. Good-enough documentation that's actually available is more valuable than perfect documentation that nobody has time to create.
This is especially useful during onboarding. When a new team member asks how something works, dictate the answer into the wiki page instead of just explaining it in Slack. The explanation gets captured permanently, and the next person with the same question finds it in the wiki.
Tips for Notion Users
When adding to database properties, click directly into the field before recording. AICHE inserts text at your exact cursor position, so precision matters in Notion's block-based editor. For longer pages, dictate one section at a time rather than trying to speak an entire document in one pass. Use Notion's / commands to add headers and dividers between dictated sections.
Heads-up: when adding to database properties like "Summary" or "Notes," click directly in the field before recording. The text inserts exactly where your cursor sits. Clicking the wrong field means the text lands in the wrong place.
Pro tip: enable Content Organization in AICHE settings before capturing stream-of-consciousness notes. Your rambling thoughts get structured into clear paragraphs automatically, which fits Notion's clean aesthetic.
Result: a 400-word meeting note that takes 8 minutes to type becomes 90 seconds of dictation, and your Notion databases stay populated because the cost of adding content drops dramatically.
Do this now: open a Notion database that has entries with empty description fields. Click into one, press your hotkey, and dictate the content that should be there.
