Ask AICHE about something you recorded. Type or speak a question about your notes and meetings, then read an answer with the source material listed alongside it.
Get an answer across your library
Ask searches your Notes and meeting transcripts together. You do not need to remember which recording holds the answer or open each item individually. Describe a decision, a responsibility or a discussion, and Ask brings relevant passages from both sources into one response.
For example, you might remember discussing the office move but not which note or meeting contains the decision. Ask looks through both your notes and meeting transcripts and surfaces the relevant material in an answer. You see the answer and the passages that supported it, rather than a list of unrelated titles.
You can also limit the search to Notes only or Meetings only. The scope control is on the Ask screen.
This is a different workflow from Search. Search returns the passages themselves so you can scan them; Ask uses those passages to form an answer. Search finds source material; Ask generates an answer from it.
Type a question or ask by voice
Enter a question in the input field and submit it. Use a concrete question based on what you have recorded. For example: "What did we decide about the office move?"
To ask by voice, choose Talk and use the recording control to speak your question. Ask transcribes what you said and searches your library with it.
Ask keeps the conversation open. A follow-up such as "Who agreed to contact the building manager?" uses the same context, so you do not need to repeat the original question. A follow-up does not edit the original note or meeting summary.
See the material behind the answer
Each answer lists the notes and meetings that supplied context under Grounded in. Each source chip identifies whether it is a note or a meeting, so you can tell the type before opening it. This shows which material influenced the response, so you can check the answer against the original text. Grounded in identifies retrieved source material; it is not an independent verification of every sentence.
Select a source to open the original note and read the passage that contributed to the answer. For meeting sources, open the meeting through Meetings and use transcript search to locate a specific passage.
Choose Copy, then paste the answer into another application. You can also copy a specific passage from the source note. Asking a question does not edit the original note or meeting summary, and it does not save the answer as a note.
Choose cloud or on-device answers
Ask can answer using cloud processing or locally through Models > Answers. Local answers require AICHE Professional.
For typed questions, Answers is the relevant local control and uses the shared models the app downloads for it. For spoken questions, local audio transcription is a separate step controlled by Dictation and notes; a typed question does not require the speech model. For a fully local spoken-question workflow, enable both Answers and Dictation and notes.
On-device models require Professional. Cloud Ask does not require local setup; it needs a connection and an account with access.
