The short answer: enable Auto-Translation, choose English as the target, then record normally. AICHE transcribes what you said, translates it to English, applies cleanup, and inserts or saves the English text.
This is useful when you think faster in one language but need to send English text to colleagues, customers, documentation, or AI assistants.
Step-by-Step
- Open AICHE settings or the Enhance panel.
- Enable Auto-Translation.
- Set the target language to English.
- Start recording with the desktop hotkey or mobile mic.
- Speak naturally in your source language.
- Stop recording.
- Review the English output before sending.
Auto-Translation adds a few seconds of processing time. Turn it off for notes where you want the original language preserved.
Where It Helps
AI prompts. Speak in your native language and send English prompts to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, or coding agents.
Team chat. Dictate a quick update in the language you think in and send readable English to the team.
Documentation. Explain the idea naturally, then edit the English output into docs or README content.
Client updates. Draft in your strongest language, then review the English before sending.
What to Watch For
Translation is not a legal or certified translation workflow. Use it for everyday work text, prompts, notes, and drafts. For contracts, medical records, immigration documents, or other regulated material, use the review process required for that domain.
Proper nouns and product names work best when they are also in Custom Vocabulary. Add names and technical terms before relying on them in translated output.
Do This Now
Enable Auto-Translation and dictate three sentences in your native language describing a task you need help with. Paste the English result into an AI assistant and compare it with what you would have typed manually.
